01 — History
Thirty years of the internet, up close

1996
Founded as an internet service provider, initially as Webpartner GbR. Websites, hosting and consulting at a time when those were still the same business.

1998
Converted into Webpartner Kommunikationsdienste GmbH.

2000s
Custom development for corporations and mid-sized companies — among them BMW Bank, FC Bayern München, SAP, Siemens, eligo and technology marketing people. Applications for online assessment, customer portals and specialist processes, some of them in operation for over a decade.

2011
The hosting business is spun off into serverprofis.net — concentrating on developing and operating applications.

2010s
E-commerce becomes the focus: Magento shops for publishers, manufacturers and specialist retailers, alongside the data integration work from which DataHub grows.

2019
DataHub goes into production as a central data platform.

Artificial intelligence in retail: development of the AI Assistant and founding of the consultancy Shopconsulting.ai.

Iterative rather than waterfall
Something running, early
We build in short rounds and show interim results. Whether a solution holds up in daily use becomes clear on a running interface.
Developing until it fits
Requirements change while they are being implemented. We keep developing until the solution fits, rather than defending an old plan.
Operations are part of it
Most of our systems have been with us for years — updates, extensions, incidents. When you call, you speak to someone who knows the system.

Source code, data and access belong to you. We work with open standards and widely used technology so that the choice always remains yours.
